People of the Future in Chrome explored space and went to colonize planets. To do this, people need chromium, a special substance necessary for chrome plating celestial bodies. It covers an asteroid, after which it becomes habitable. However, chromium is a resource whose quantity is limited. This led to the struggle for the valuable substance. Corporations, fighting for supremacy, hire people to mine it.

The action of the shooter takes place on one of the colonized planets. The user will take control of Bolt Logan, a former special forces soldier turned mercenary. The hero goes on a mission with his friend Pointer. The goal is to steal a disk with valuable information from the enemy, which belongs to one corporation. In the process, they'll have reinforcements — Carol. Soon, Logan and his girlfriend will be performing a variety of tasks together, working for various companies. The characters are waiting for fierce shootouts in the tropical jungle, at military bases of the future, in mines, and many other corners of the asteroid.

Firefights with the enemy, thanks to the open terrain, provide great opportunities for maneuver. Here you can go to the rear or to the flank. The enemy is able to move, and choose suitable places for shooting, hiding and attacking. The missions in the game are distinguished by their variety and originality. For example, you can shoot at enemies even when flying in a spaceship. Many of the tasks have additional goals that are mandatory here.

Chrome has elements of cyberpunk. The protagonist can implant himself with various implants that allow him to move faster, increase the accuracy of shooting, and slow down time. There is also a motion sensor, thanks to which you can track down opponents who are not visible. The arsenal of weapons here is impressive: there are a couple of pistols, a machine gun, an assault rifle and a sniper rifle. Enemies have military equipment at their disposal, for example, armored vehicles, tanks, shuttles. Logan will be able to move around in a speeder and a buggy with a machine gun.
