Kalyzmyr crosses 3 genres: Hack and Slash, Dungeon Crawler and Tower Defense. The gameplay is as follows. User controls a young woman. She runs from left to right, slashes monsters, gets experience and money for killing them, levels up, and finds loot chests. The heroine can be equipped with weapons, armor, and artifacts. By default, she is armed with a huge two-handed axe. Upon reaching the end of the location, the lady goes up to the floor above. On locations, enemies often arrange raids on the protagonist.
