Rush Rover combines roguelike and shooter mechanics. The indie project has two-dimensional pixel art. The user observes the battlefield from a bird's eye view. According to the plot, the robots went crazy and went to war on people. Now machines are trying to rule everyone. The user plays as a cyborg who does not support the ideas of his mechanical counterparts. In response, they began to try to hack or destroy the protagonist.

Combat in Rush Rover takes place in randomly generated arena rooms, like in Isaac or ETG. The balance of opponents in them is random. You can return to previously visited places. The indie project has a lot of weapons. The arsenal is represented by a pulse cannon, a heat pistol, a scattering laser rifle, a flamethrower, a rocket launcher, a laser that bounces off enemies, and a beam machine gun. All weapons can be upgraded. Upgrades add new abilities, such as the ability to shoot enemy projectiles in mid-flight.

The hero can also buy various skills. Skills allow you to summon a wave of force, surround yourself with an energy shield, and establish a field that attracts enemies and their projectiles. Money is spent on all this. The local analogue of the currency is knocked out of the defeated adversaries. A variety of items allows you to build your own builds.
