All characters and locations in the world of Theropods are handmade. The gameplay pays homage to the classic arcade games of the 90s. The protagonist is from a tribe of barbarians, but her tribe was enslaved. She embarks on an action-packed adventure to rescue her people. At the center of the plot is friendship, courage and betrayal. The gameplay is inspired by Machinarium and Gobliiins, so there is no dialogue in the game.

All interaction between the characters is due to gestures or grunts.
