The Howler

The Howler gives you the opportunity to fly in a hot air balloon in the sky over Vilnius from an alternate reality. Our goal: to get the aircraft from point A to B. At the same time, it is important to be on time and not crash into anything along the way. If the timer runs out or a collision occurs, the vehicle will explode and you will have to replay.

The game, which came to computers from tablets, has a distinctive visual style. All the graphics were hand-drawn on paper and then digitized. The indie project uses the entourage of steampunk, mixing it with Lithuanian architecture. The title itself can be attributed to physics-based arcades. There are 16 levels in The Howler. Their selection takes place on the global map. Stages are opened sequentially. Sometimes they are asked to do something extra. For example: pick up a cargo in a certain place or drop a bomb in the desired area of the map.

The title allows you to control the balloon through voice commands. You can also do this with the mouse. Controls with just one button. We can only order the craft to go up. It descends on its own, and air currents are responsible for the direction of movement. There is a special scale on the screen that shows which way the wind is blowing at a particular altitude.
