Taiji combines two genres. It's a mix of puzzle and adventure games. This indie project has two-dimensional pixel art graphics. The camera is positioned at the top and at an angle. There are a huge number of puzzles here. They consist of grids of tiles, and are built on the need to turn these squares on or off. The main feature of the title is that absolutely all puzzles use a single interface. Such a game design approach relieves the gamer of the need to engage in pixel hunting and think about what exactly he needs to interact with in the future. However, the tasks themselves try to be varied and try to challenge.

In the game Taiji, the user seems to control two characters at the same time. With the help of arrows on the keyboard, the gamer moves the heroine. And with the mouse, he controls the cursor-light. This spirit-like creature can interact with its surroundings. The point of the gameplay is to explore locations with the girl, and the flying creature to remove obstacles from her path or help her overcome abysses (activating, for example, a bridge). To get rid of any obstacle, you need to solve one or another riddle. There are clues to some of them. They are well hidden in the design of the locations. There are many regions. The action takes place in a mysterious, technological and abandoned world, which is divided into biomes. All of them differ from each other in mechanical and visual themes.
