Sunwards is a third-person action RPG set in a dark fantasy setting where you travel to your dreams, but not to your dreams. The once benevolent wizard Black Raven is going through hard times – times of depression and turmoil. His heart is closed, and his head is tormented by heavy thoughts.

You will take on the role of a witch named Nishe, who has been helping the Black Raven with her specific sorcery for many years. You have to dive into the halls of your friend's mind to save him from the evil that has settled there. His dreams are haunted by terrible monsters that reflect his state of mind. And you will have to destroy every single monster in order to save your comrade from himself.

The mechanics of influencing the character in the game Sunwards are flexible. The heroine quickly reacts to the buttons and immediately rolls, dodges, blocks, counterattacks. In addition to acrobatic techniques, Nishé has 4 magical abilities in his arsenal. The witch can throw fireballs, heal when necessary, push back an opponent with the power of the wind, and much more. The girl is also able to apply "buffs" to weapons for a few seconds, adding certain properties to them, for example, the effect of frostbite or arson.

Defeating bosses depends on skillfully combining all the skills of the witch, and on understanding the combat mechanics of each of them. You won't be able to just kill the hater with an endless whirlwind of attacks with the sword, and you won't be able to use the energy gauge that drains after a couple of hits or rolls.
