There are two types of army in Stronghold Crusader: mercenary Arab soldiers and crusaders. The former are hired solely for money and have inferior qualities than the troops of Europe. To hire crusaders, knights, crossbowmen, and archers, you will have to make bows, crossbows, swords, shields, spears, and other things for them. Resources are extracted in strictly designated areas.
