Shadow of Fate dedicated to the theme of time travel. A man of German descent jumps through different time periods. The hero's name is Eike Kusch. His goal: to prevent his own murder. At the very beginning of the game, the protagonist dies from a knife stabbed in the back by a mysterious criminal. At the same time, the main character does not die completely, but is transferred to a certain space between life and death. There, a mysterious voice gives him the ability to travel back in time, revives him, and sends him back. The narrative is divided into 8 chapters. The non-linear story has 6 endings, plus two additional endings. Game progress is only saved between episodes. Screensavers can't be skipped.

Shadow of Destiny is a Japanese adventure game that came to PC from consoles. The gameplay is somewhat reminiscent of the legendary Shenmue games, if you remove all the combat from them and leave only the adventure episodes. The young man runs around locations, communicates with characters, finds or obtains items, gives them to the right people or uses them in certain places, and collects charges scattered everywhere that recharge his ability to make time jumps. The protagonist will visit the middle and early 20th century, and will also be in the medieval era.

Attempts to take Kush's life will not stop. The guy appears at the location, finds out from the fortune teller the time of the assassination attempt, and then tries to prevent it. To go further in the story, you need to have time before the timer expires to get rid of different methods of killing that can be used by an unknown enemy. Then the cycle is repeated in other scenery. At the same time, you can take and complete secondary tasks. Side quests have consequences. For example: if the hero saves the wife of the museum director, then when jumping into the future, he will be able to find out how the couple is doing 30 years later.
