Osteoblasts is a role-playing adventure game made in dark colors, creating an oppressive atmosphere, maintained throughout all the journeys through a huge fantasy world that is inhabited by all kinds of aggressive monsters looking for battles. The project uses a camera located on top of the main character – a skeleton, who gradually pumps up his own skills during the single-player campaign. Objects of the environment and locations are visualized thanks to retro graphics, which have been popular for several decades.

The gameplay of the game with support for the connection of Osteoblasts controllers is the exploration of numerous locations of the dark world, which are inhabited by enemy monsters and filled with valuable loot that allows you to become stronger and prepared for the next battle. The single-player story campaign starts with the user choosing the starting conditions of the adventure: the level of difficulty, the class of the protagonist, and the initial inventory.

The project's combat system uses turn-based mechanics. This allows the player to ponder each decision and reflect on the tactics employed for as long as possible. Such a decision of the developers deprives the combat of dynamism, but makes it dependent on strategy. It is necessary to engage in skirmishes with enemies both during simple movement around the terrain, if they block the passage further, and to complete a large number of quests issued in safe zones by friendly NPCs.
