No Lights tells about the adventures of an astronaut on an alien planet. A man in a spacesuit got lost in a network of alien caves. Now he's roaming them in search of light and just trying to survive. The game has a plot but lacks a full story. It doesn't have an end goal either.

No Lights is a side-scrolling platformer. The indie project combines pixel art with a curious lighting system. The protagonist can run, jump and fly with the help of a jetpack. The jetpack does not allow you to stay in the air forever, so the hero is periodically forced to descend to the ground.

The main character fights the local fauna with the help of projectiles. They aim at the target themselves and, when detonated, briefly illuminate the surrounding space. An astronaut always starts a race with 15 of these charges. During the shot, he always gives funny text comments. Health bar allows you to survive 5 hits with enemies. On the sixth touch, the whole stage will have to be restarted. The levels themselves are randomly generated. To complete the location, you need to find a torch on it. The researcher is then transported to another location, with HP and ammo restored at the same time, and the cycle repeats. This can go on indefinitely, since the title has no ending.
