MDK2 – the game is a direct sequel to the 1997 MDK. The game, like its predecessor, is designed as a third-person shooter. In each of the levels, the player will have to control one of the three characters from the original game. Dr. Fluke Hawkins is a mad scientist as well as the commander of this crazy group. It was the doctor who created the Jim Dandy ship, on which the characters travel. Six-legged dog Max – he was invented by our mad scientist. Max loves two things: the powerful guns he always has with him, and the Cuban cigars. And finally, Kurt Hectick is the main playable character of the first part. Kurt works as a janitor on the doctor's ship, but when he needs to complete a dangerous mission, he puts on a battle suit and wields a machine gun with a telescopic sight.

Story-wise, the game begins immediately after the first part. Celebrating their victory, the characters feast on a ship, but Earth is suddenly attacked by aliens and Kurt is forced to go on a mission. After Kurt is captured, Dr. Hawkins sends Max to rescue him, but the dog is also captured, and in the meantime the base is attacked by aliens and the doctor has to fight them off himself. Subsequently, the doctor will have to save his friends and together they must save the world. Gameplay-wise, all three characters are very different from each other. Kurt, for example, almost always uses his machine gun with a sniper scope to crush enemies. Max, on the other hand, can use four weapons at once. The most unusual gameplay as the doctor. Making his way through the levels, the player will have to collect various materials and create different devices from them that will help in the fight against enemies.
