Ikaruga is a top-down vertical scrolling shooter. The Japanese title offers hardcore gameplay, consisting of shooting ordinary opponents and bosses, as well as dodging the many bullets fired by them. There are 5 levels in the project. There are 3 difficulties available: easy, normal and hard. They affect the tactics during the passage. There are 2 modes – "Arcade" and "Prototype".

All opponents and projectiles in Ikaruga are divided into black and white. You can and should change the color of your ship in order to be able to absorb enemy projectiles of the corresponding color. "Absorbed" projectiles not only do not cause damage to the starship (and it explodes from just one hit), but also charge it with a special scale. When it is full, it becomes possible to make a particularly powerful shot. In addition, reversing the polarity doubles the damage to enemies of the opposite color.

This is a re-release of the game, which was originally released in the very early 2000s on arcade machines. The PC version allows you to play together from the same PC and supports keyboards, mice and gamepads. Three-dimensional graphics remain the same. The story tells about the confrontation between the state of Hourai and the rest of humanity. A pilot named Shinra is trying to protect people from the aggressors' military equipment. One day, the pilot is shot down and falls near the village of Ikagura. Locals heal his wounds and give him access to a unique space fighter that has become the last hope for everyone.
