Hyper-5 is a horizontal scrolling shooter. The project differs from other representatives of the genre by completely three-dimensional graphics and cinematography of everything that happens on the screen. The title imitates old hits from the end of the last century. The gameplay is accompanied by cutscenes and staged moments.

In the game, you are given control of a futuristic Hyper-5 fighter. It is capable of fighting in the sky, above the ground, and underwater. In the story, a reconnaissance ship catches a distress signal. He arrives on the planet 4GDT and is attacked by the forces of an unknown enemy. Enemies are represented by mechs, combat aircraft of various sizes, land, underwater and flying monsters. In total, there are 40 types of enemies and 5 bosses in the indie project.

The arsenal has about 20 cannons, including machine guns, missiles, lasers, and assistant drones. To gain access to all barrels, you need to complete tests. In the same way, upgrades for the ship are unlocked. In the weapon room, you can customize and upgrade the ship's armament. The developers have tried to please gamers who love different levels of difficulty. The product has three main modes: the story campaign, the "Arcade" and the fight for a place on the leaderboard. Online multiplayer is not available here. You can only compete with other users in scoring points and position in the global online list.
