Hoodwink

Hoodwink is a representative of the point-and-click adventure genre with three-dimensional cartoon graphics and a third-person view. It offers a plunge into history that combines noir detective, comedy, post-apocalypse, and science fiction. The project takes place in the dystopian city of Global-01. It is inhabited by people, robots, anthropomorphic animals, brainwashed cops, and all sorts of crazy people.

The main character of Hoodwink is Michael Bezzl. He lives in a filthy slum and makes a living by stealing. The anti-hero modestly calls himself an "acquisition expert". One day, the guy fell in love with a girl named Francesca, who owns a thrift store. The protagonist decided to attract her attention with a gift and went to one of the offices to steal an expensive ring from there. However, the gamble does not go according to plan. The young man runs into Detective Pyre and gets into major trouble when he accidentally learns the secrets of the last remaining corporation, UniCorp.

The indie project has a deep lore. Michael's regular comments on this or that occasion help to learn more about this world. Moreover, the information is presented not directly, but by hints. You can approach passers-by and eavesdrop on their conversations. However, it is usually impossible to communicate with them, as full-fledged dialogues are only available with strictly defined NPCs. Conversations with them are diluted with exploring locations and solving puzzles. Moving can be difficult because the exits from the zones are not marked in any way, and the cursor does not always take the desired shape in time. The game is completely linear.
