Hive Jump is an independent side-scrolling action platformer set in a futuristic world where science has stepped far beyond what is available to it in these times. This project has collected features from the genre of roguelikes and run-n-shoot shooters. The peculiarity of the campaign is that it offers gamers a chance to play it in local cooperative mode, inviting three more people to participate in the gameplay. The plot originates and develops in the distant 24th century, when humanity faced the greatest threat in the history of civilization development - the invasion of an alien race, the number of which exceeds the human. There are more than a million aliens for every human being. This jeopardizes the chances of survival and further evolution. To counter the invaders, the JUMP combat hull is created. They are equipped with the best type of weapons, destroying small enemies almost instantly. Only bosses and other strong mobs can withstand multiple hits. The gameplay consists of clearing fortified camps of villains in order to gradually expel them from the territory of the Earth. Procedurally generated levels make each playthrough unique, and the "permadeath" function (the death of the protagonist, after which he will not respawn) teaches you to save health points, because lost things will be lost forever along with the deceased. Each of the characters that fall under the control of users is equipped with all kinds of flamethrowers, rocket launchers, laser pistols, which are subject to improvement throughout the passage.
