Hard West: Scars of Freedom is the first addition to a turn-based tactical strategy game with role-playing elements. The sequel is also made in a setting that mixes western with gothic horror. Events once again unfold in an alternate Wild West. The original told about the adventures of Warren, who went to avenge his loved ones. The DLC offers a completely different story. It has not one, but two protagonists. Their storylines develop in parallel. The action takes place in Texas during the Civil War. The premise here is as follows. A slave girl named Liberty escapes from captivity and brutally dies. Dr. Gorman finds the already dead girl, revives her and gives her superhuman powers, and then disappears. After that, the woman goes in pursuit of a brilliant and at the same time insane doctor for answers regarding his motivation.

The Scars of Liberty add-on allows you to control golems. These living dead are constantly rotting, thereby becoming weaker. However, they can be updated. The game allows you to buy organs and restore tissues for a new special currency (ether).
