God of War 2 is an adventure hack and slash set in the times of Ancient Greece. The government takes place for the legendary god of war named Kratos, who, after killing Ares, takes his place among the deities. But unexpectedly, the protagonist is betrayed by Zeus, deprived of his abilities, and thrown half-dead into the Underworld. But, fortunately, the hero is saved from there by Gaia, and given the goal of finding the Sisters of Destiny in order to go back in time and kill the king of the Olympians.

The gameplay takes place in the best traditions of this series, where dizzying fights with mythological ancient Greek creatures are combined. Among them are minotaurs, harpies, gorgons, cyclops, cerberus, and even griffins. First of all, you will learn how to control the main weapon - the blades of Athena. With their help, you can create truly dynamic moments in which you need to use a large number of different moves, combos, and special abilities.

There are also Quick Time Event events, especially in battles with monumental bosses. In addition, the main character is able to pick up auxiliary items in various locations, and use magical attacks to kill certain types of enemies. And from time to time, there will be several outstanding puzzles based on platforming elements, and the comparison of some objects on the levels.

In God of War 2, there are many chests in all 26 levels that contain upgrades to health, stamina, and skills. But they are hidden in locations, and therefore you need to clear every corner, or climb and jump over ledges to find hidden secrets. And in the second half of the story, special "gadgets" will become available to open previously inaccessible places, such as the flying Pegasus and the wings of Icarus.
