Frozen Hearth transports users to a fictional world where members of the Danaan people are controlled. At one point, they were threatened with extinction, because ice monsters invaded the territory of the state, turning every inch of space into an icy desert. And now, the Danaans will have to stand up for their own land in order to avoid total destruction and protect themselves from the impending danger.

The main mode in Frozen Hearth is a story campaign consisting of 20 consecutive missions. Here, events take place in specially designated locations (or parts of them), where gamers need to recapture an already captured area, or prevent capture, coping with the onslaught from the enemy. Here you can fully implement the key mechanics of the project, corresponding to the genre of real-time strategy. Basically, this is the control of units individually, in addition to group actions with the distribution of responsibilities on the battlefield. Each character has its own characteristics, attack type, damage limitations, and other parameters that can cause gameplay to change. Buildings play an important role, because they can be used as strongholds, concentrating your forces there.

As an alternative to story missions, you can try out the Skirmishes mode. Here you can choose not only representatives of Dannan, but also a hostile race. The main goal is to destroy the enemy army, simultaneously capturing the buildings on the map. And to diversify what is happening, you can use the editor by changing certain parameters (for example, set a timer or increase the number of starting resources).
