FADE, THE FIRST CHAPTER is a three-dimensional roguelike that takes you to a fantasy dark universe called Baltan Valley. Here, people once lived in peace and prosperity, but events took place that forever changed the natural order. For centuries, the powerful creature Khait the Undying managed to restrain evil forces. He drew his power from the legendary blade of the Perjurer. The darkness found the spell and used it to destroy the sword.

At the beginning of the story of FADE THE FIRST CHAPTER, the protagonist learns that the blade has shattered into many fragments, which are now scattered all over the world. The task of the gamer is to go on a dangerous adventure and find all the pieces, and then restore the weapon with it to defeat the most powerful antagonists capable of destroying entire cities in a matter of minutes. The main engine of the narrative is interaction with NPCs and dialogue with them, but battles fade into the background.

Conversations with NPCs will allow you to take on the main and secondary quests, and some answers in the dialogues have long-lasting consequences that affect the further development of events. As for the battles, they are based on the mechanics of stamina. Each hit and cast perk costs stamina points, and therefore they should not be wasted, because an empty gauge does not allow you to continue fighting.
