Echelon Uses a sci-fi setting. The title takes users to the distant future. In the year 2351, humanity is waging war against the aggressors from the planet Velian, who seek to take over all human colonies. The events take place on the planet Rokada IV. The story is told from the perspective of a Galactic Federation Air Force pilot. Players will have to go from cadets to aces.

The story campaign is divided into 25 missions. In the missions, you are asked to protect an aircraft carrier, conduct reconnaissance in combat, escort transport, do a mop-up, and so on. There is partial nonlinearity. Tasks are sometimes allowed to be performed in different ways. And if the operation fails, you can continue the game without having to start the episode again, if you fly to the bases. At the same time, failure will entail certain consequences. There is also multiplayer for 48 people with three modes: capture the flag, classic and team deathmatch. In an arcade flight simulator, you can switch the camera. The view from the cab is also available. In total, the project includes 50 varieties of air, land and water equipment and 150 objects.

All aircraft here are divided into 4 types:

• AIr/AT transport – transports goods and most often does not have weapons;
• The BFF fighter is a fast and light unit that is difficult to fight against ground and water targets;
• The INT interceptor is a nimble aircraft that copes well with reconnaissance missions;
• AP Assault – Its poor maneuverability is compensated for by powerful weapons and sturdy armor.
