Gameplay Driver 2 combines elements of action and car simulator. The plot tells the story of former racing driver John Tanner, who is currently a police officer in Miami. He is given a complex operation in the form of a cover for the city's criminal organization. The protagonist's task is to find the head of the criminal group, proving that he is an impeccable driver. By gaining their trust by running errands for them, he will be able to learn more about the actions and intentions of his enemies.

The gamer takes control of Tanner, the driver of the car, to perform various tasks. The second part received numerous innovations. The character is able to get out of the car and move on foot, as well as get behind the wheel of other cars or steal them. The "dirty track" and "garage" missions have been removed from the tutorial, and the driving games have been untouched. Previously, there was a damage bar of the chased car, which changed to proximity. Basically, the user will need to catch up with other racers and keep his distance so that he is not suspected.
