Dog Duty is a shooter with an isometric camera and pixel art, developed by a group of enthusiasts from a small studio belonging to the cohort of indie companies. From the very beginning of the story campaign, designed for a single-player version of exploring the virtual world, the game captures the attention of the gamer with an overwhelming amount of action with the participation of squads of enemy units: on foot, in combat aircraft and helicopters, in armored vehicles with machine guns, on motor boats, barges, trucks and using other equipment.

In addition to the virtual protégé controlled by the player (there is support for controlling the gameplay using a gamepad), the squad includes two more fighters who move and shoot on the orders of the artificial intelligence. The gamer has access to a menu of communication with allies to indicate the desired goal. This will help in difficult situations, because AI, for example, can distract an enemy, conduct suppressive fire, storm and much more.

The antagonist of the game "A Dog's Duty" is General Octopus, the leader of an eight-legged army that poses a threat to all peaceful creatures. The player needs to complete all kinds of missions, such as capturing enemy bases, sabotage, stealth infiltration, destroying bosses, storming unfortified positions, chases, and much more, in order to get into the villain's main stronghold and destroy him in a fair fight.
