Dark Rift

Dark Rift - An old-school fighting game that invites you to fight as one of 8 unique characters with their own individual fighting style. At the end of the story campaign, two more hidden fighters can be unlocked. To do this, you will need to complete the game twice with certain conditions. The main difference between Dark Rift and other fighting games is that, according to the standard, you need to win three rounds out of five, instead of the usual two out of three. The game was originally called Criticom 2, but was later renamed.

The events of the game take place in the distant future immediately after the end of the storyline of the original Criticom. The action takes place in three worlds: the Neutral World (Earth), the Dark Dimension (the haven of demons) and the Light World (the universe of energy beings). It is noteworthy that nowhere is it said that the inhabitants of the Light World are good angels. Light beings have the same destructive abilities as those of the Dark Dimension.

All the characters are trying to get a magic crystal that gives great power to its owner. This artifact will help enslave all worlds at the same time. A destructive object is stuck between worlds. Its three parts are in all dimensions at the same time. The heroes embark on a deadly race after the mysterious MacGuffin, but each character pursues their own personal goals.
