Core Defense is a casual strategy game with a high replay value and a mixture of several genres - roguelike, collectible card game and tower defense. It is thanks to roguelikes that this project, designed and created by a small indie company, can be replayed several times, because no level will be repeated due to the random procedural generation of terrain and enemy regiments. Graphically, the game is made using a simple visual sequence, without serious special effects, in two-dimensional space and using a camera located above the events unfolding on the surface.

A single-player campaign without a cumbersome plot will give the player hours of simple and uncomplicated gameplay, which is easy to understand, but difficult to master for professional progression through the stages. Thanks to the flexible difficulty setting, which includes more than 20 levels, the gamer allows you to perfectly match the resistance strength of artificial intelligence and gradually increase it to get a new challenge.

Tactically competent formation of your own defensive redoubts is the main component of a successful defense against enemy forces attacking in waves. The player has many variations of cards with towers to deal damage to attackers. Any combination has the right to life, but they need to be upgraded and adjusted to the realities of each test presented to the user in "Kernel Protection".
