Asyren is a two-dimensional action action game with a lot of mechanics taken straight from the genre of role-playing adventure and platformer. The setting of the indie project, which is being worked on by a small team of enthusiasts, is a fictional continent invented specifically for this game - Asiren. There is native support for controllers from different manufacturers, which makes it easier to control the main character of the story - a nameless renegade priest.

Due to the fact that the game world has fantasy features, the developers based the plot on the confrontation between a man and a deity named Unna. The goddess was expelled from the pantheon centuries ago for plotting a coup and a change of power. Before the start of the gameplay, the antagonist managed to deceive the main character, with the help of which the villainess gained power and is again ready to try to destroy the rest of the gods and Asiren.

The plot features the Tree of Life, a plant created by the primordial deities to connect the Earth and the Spirit World. It energizes those who make the pilgrimage near the base of the tree. This is the place where the Tree grows and wants to capture Unn in the first place, in order to gain an advantage over those who try to stop it. The protagonist embarks on a long journey to thwart the plans of the maddened goddess. By leveling up her skills in handling weapons and magical abilities, the virtual protégé gains enough strength to confront the immortal Unna and her minions.
