Arboria is a role-playing adventure game with a dark, fantasy setting in which the player is left alone against hordes of aggressive enemies. The gameplay is based on the mechanics of the roguelike genre, which means the random generation of territories where the main character of the story moves - a brave warrior who masterfully wields cold weapons from the Jotun tribe. On the way of the character will stand not only enemies attacking in packs, but also all kinds of traps that fill the walls and floor of the dungeons. A feature of leveling is the use of biological mutations to obtain new skills and improve existing combat skills.

The single-player story campaign tells the story of the Great Tree, the source of life for the Jotunn tribe. People who lived near this tree received vital energy and gained strength. One day, the Tree fell ill, which led to a deterioration in the health of the entire settlement. A brave protagonist goes in search of a cure for a disease in order to return people to their source. A virtual protégé craves great glory for himself and his family, because for such a feat there will be legends about him.

The journeys that the player will take part in take place on the territory of a land called Durnar. This area is filled with dungeons, and the rescue is located as deep as possible under the soil.
