Act of War

Act of War belongs to the RTS genre. The events take place in a near and alternate future. Oligarchs who made their fortune in oil began to sponsor terrorist attacks all over the Earth. Their actions undermined the world economy and provoked an increase in the price of "black gold". To fight businessmen and their minions, a special unit was created, consisting of military veterans and IT specialists. The plot is replete with Hollywood clichés and "cranberries". The story campaign is divided into 20 missions.

There are 3 factions available in Act of War – Shock and Awe:

• Consortium – oil tycoons headed by antagonist Yegor Zakharov, capable of operating in a covert and active mode;
• The U.S. Armed Forces are superior in the number of combat units to other groups, compensated by their need to follow the Defcon readiness scale;
• Tactical Group Talon is a secret American organization commanded by protagonist Jason Richter, which has multi-purpose units.

The gameplay is reminiscent of the Command project & Conquer: Generals. It is necessary to build a base, research, create and upgrade units. There are infantry, ground vehicles and aviation. A superweapon is also present. All of this will require oil and energy (only Richter's wards don't need electricity). We still need money. The title stands out for its unusual mechanics of obtaining finances. To earn currency, you need to capture banks by bringing your soldiers into buildings. In addition, they allow you to take prisoners and even build camps for them to get additional income. It also allows you to clear buildings from enemies from the inside.
